FAQ

D4 2026 is a two‑day networking summit on Data‑Driven Digital Diagnostics and AI, bringing together experts from laboratory medicine, radiology, pathology, data science, healthcare policy, legal/ethics, and industry—focused on real‑world implementation and collaboration.

11 & 12 September 2026

Salzburg, AUSTRIA – see “Venue” for more information.

D4 2026 is designed for:

  • Clinicians and diagnostics professionals (lab medicine, radiology, pathology, integrated diagnostics)
  • Data scientists / ML engineers working with healthcare data
  • Healthcare IT / data platform teams
  • Policymakers, regulators, legal and ethics experts
  • Industry partners building tools for diagnostics, interoperability, governance, and AI deployment

It’s intentionally networking-first and cross‑disciplinary.

Unlike many discipline‑specific conferences, D4 aims to bridge specialties and connect clinical practice, data science, and governance—with strong time reserved for conversations and collaboration.

Topics include:

  • Data prerequisites for ML in diagnostics (quality, standards, comparability)
  • Digital metrology and structured diagnostic data
  • Human–AI interaction in imaging and diagnostic workflows
  • CDSS and AI in routine care (real deployments, not just prototypes)
  • Data sharing across disciplines (e.g., lab + radiology) with the patient at the center
  • Legal, cybersecurity, cloud vs on‑prem considerations
  • Examples and lessons learned from real‑world projects and health systems
  • …..and more …..

A compact, practical format:

  • Talks are 20 minutes each (including industry presentations)
  • Each block ends with a 20‑minute panel discussion
  • Networking coffee breaks are at least 1 hour
  • Lunch breaks are at least 2 hours
  • A social event supports informal networking and collaboration
