D4 Abstract Submission

What´s a D4 Abstract?

With the D4 Abstracts, we invite anybody to share structured accounts of implemented or failed digital or AI projects in medical diagnostics. These reports focus on real-world experience — not concepts, not prototypes, not marketing claims, but actual implementation.

Submissions are welcome from clinicians, diagnostic specialists, data scientists, informatics experts, hospital managers, and industry partners who have actively contributed to the deployment of digital or AI solutions in diagnostic practice.

Deadline is the 5th of June

Each report should describe:

  • The clinical or operational problem addressed
  • The implemented or failed solution and integration into existing systems
  • Governance, regulatory and data protection considerations
  • Measurable outcomes and operational impact
  • Lessons learned, including challenges and setbacks
  • Practical recommendations for others

Both successful and unsuccessful projects are encouraged. Transparent reflection and practical relevance are essential.

Selected reports will be published in the Journal of Laboratory Medicine.

D4 Abstracts are designed to create a shared body of implementation knowledge — to help the community move from intention to execution.
